While the new beta does fix the 3GS video issue, it also seems as though there is still a significant battery drain. Going to uninstall for now, until a stable update is released.

unistalling paid for version, installing k'd. maybe that will work. side note of paticular irony: update wont install due to conflict/overwrite at /.ds store appsync 3.1 haha, funny. an appstore k mod conflict w ireal. wtf???

Yup that's correct. My friend an I went back to ireal after we saw Rez post about the fixed update. We dumped bitesms and went back and installed ireal again. Battery problem is still there on both our phones. One 3gs and one 3g. So until the dev puts out a significant update with actual usable features we have been asking for , as well as fixing the bugs and battery drain it looks like bite is the way to go for the two of us. we have both been using it now since the latest bad release of ireal and have had no battery drain or issues at all

I've upgrade mine and my fiance's phone to 3.0.1.4-1. There is definitely an issue with stability. She told me her phone reboot itself while she was just listening to music this morning. Mine just crashed to safemode. I was typing a quickreply and lost 3g/edge service and it crashed. This 3.0.1.4 crap is ridiculous. I was a little upset having to wait forever for bug fixes, but at least 3.0.1.3 was stable. Give me that build with no regular license checks or expiration please.

Well I have made the switch full time to bite, and I would ask for a refund since I just bought the app right before version 3 was released, but I know it will do no good.

Development has slowed to a snails pace and needless features are being added and versions (that I paid for) no longer work.. I guess this is to curb cracked versions, but guess what? If someone isn't going to buy it, they aren't gonna buy it, cracked version or not, why not concentrate on putting out a product that people WANT to buy instead of cracking?

Speaking of expiring versions, name one other app, appstore or cydia that does this. I should be able to use any version that is compatible with my OS I want to use since I PAID (turns out to be a ridiculous amount) for it. I should have to wake up one morning and try and use QC and have it just not work with no warning or explanation and have to upgrade to a crap version to be able to use the application as it was designed and go about my day.

I give you my 2 cents and I know it doesn't matter that I'm changing to bite, you got my money for 3 months or so of use.... enjoy the cash.

queue mgmt system should have been implemented a while ago too, the battery drain is still going strong, and this is becoming less and less of a fun app

please push chris , Rez. This is getting outrageous.. and honestly, tell him enough with the lousy additions in updates. I wish you'd give us more progress reports; I understand he told you he doesn't want you to share screenies, etc, with us but let me be frank: that is ridiculous. many of us paid 15$ for the app; we should DEFINITELY be kept in the loop much more than we are (due to chris' restrictions, not your own fault). and STOP with the ridiculous anti-cracking efforts; it's holding things back for the rest of us.
outrageous. @sysrage has given a ton to help the development of the application re: errors / bugs... and i feel his posts need to be heeded more seriously.

any of you guys need tissue paper or wet wipe? i was on the bite bandwagon back in the day then we got Rez here and everything has been gravy. Fine, the updates are sporadic, i got my beef with that too but ireal is still so much cleaner and smoother than bite. don't believe me? take a quick reply and switch between portrait and landscape with both apps and watch the graphic transition. iReal will be back with new features, i can bet good money on it, and it wouldn't surprise me if they are waiting for bite to release first for once so they don't copy.

Rez has been on the sideline for a bit with family issues so everyone take a step back. with that said, request to Chris(Dev) and Rez: Dump the expiration dates on builds. Its definitely a pain in the ass. i'd hate to be out of the country and trying to not use data to download a new build.

Guys we are going to a small hickup is all.
We will come back strong shortly. A lot of you have been with us for a long time and I hate for the situation to be like this. And if I was the actual dev I would be programming right now. But I'm not.
What I can do is assure you that we will be back on track shortly.
And you guys with both ireal and bite licenses, the beauty of that is can switch back and forth between apps as one gets the jump on the other. It's a see-saw guys. And there comes a time when we break for a while and work on another project to refresh.

We felt that 3.0.1.3 had no major flaws or issues and were taking the time to study up and work on new ideas. The timer issue screwed us and brought on critisism of the lack of updates.
As far as battery drains, I can not confirm this. I have no such drain, and a large number of users I personally know have not Experienced it either. Not even sure where it would come from being that 3.0.1.4-1 is the same as 3.0.1.3... Only difference should be in thr binary which has the delivery toggle(which does nothing right now) but that doesn't run all the time as it's not a mobile substrate hook.

In closing I am just as anxious as you guys. I too want all these features that Ive envisioned and dreamed up. And we will bring them to you. But sometimes life gets in the way. Sometimes the dev needs a break.

just my 2 cents of bitesms' newest beta. definitely cool, played with it for the day but still quite a few bugs that have been existent since 4.6. too many times i switch to landscape and the keys tap in portrait, or status bar is still there when swtiching to landscape. their queue list is cool but it automatically hides your quick replies if you have any other alerts like an alarm. overall, they have a great thing on their but needs a ton of tweaks. going to go back to 3.0.1.4 tonight as it still works awesome for me.
